Guidance for Security Researchers

We welcome reports of potential vulnerabilities and follow the principles of Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure.

Please limit your testing to what is reasonably necessary and, in particular, avoid:

  • accessing third-party data
  • modifying or deleting data
  • social engineering
  • denial-of-service attacks
  • installing persistence mechanisms or backdoors

If you unintentionally come across sensitive information, please stop your investigation at that point and notify us.

We also ask that you coordinate any potential public disclosure with us and allow us a reasonable amount of time to investigate and remediate the issue.

Responsible research is welcome.

If you act in good faith, follow the guidelines above, and responsibly report any vulnerability you discover to us, we generally consider your security research welcome.

Not Sure Whether It’s Really a Security Issue?

Please report it anyway.

We’d rather take a closer look one time too many than miss something important.

Spotted something? Let us know. We’ll take care of it.
